Volkswagen Golf MK6 January 2009-
VW4228A originally developed for the Volkswagen Golf Mk5, is also suitable for the New VW Golf Mk6. There is a variation to the bumper cut (60mm wide x 105mm deep), and this will be added to future fitting instructions.
Additionally, a new Golf Plus has been released for sale from this month. It is thought that VW4228A will fit, although we are awaiting conformation at this time.
Peugeot 407 Saloon (2009 Model Year)
Peugeot have recently facelifted their 407 model range. This has resulted in a change to the rear bumper, and repositioning of the rear number plate. As a result we can confirm that PG4234 is not suitable for this updated model.
Peugeot 407 SW Estate (2009 Model Year)
Similarly, the 407 SW Estate has also been facelifted. The changes at the rear of the vehicle are less obvious than on the Saloon, but an additional skirt to the lower edge of the bumper will require a cut of 40mm wide x 40mm deep to allow installation of PG4242A.
Renault Laguna III Coupe January 2009-
RN4361 (Flange Towbar) & RN6033 (Fully Automatic Vertical Detachable Towbar) originally developed for the Renault Laguna III Hatchback, are also confirmed as suitable for the new Renault Laguna Coupe.
BMW 3 Series Convertible (E93) April 2007-
There appears to be an Anti-Roll bar fitted to some (most?) of the E93 model BMW 3 Series. This prevents installation of the offered towbars.
BM4356, BM5018 & BM6032 have been temporarily withdrawn for Cabriolet models whilst we investigate further.
There are no issues with the Coupe (E92) and BM4356, BM5018 & BM6032 remain suitable.
Toyota Yaris March 2009-
The Yaris has recently been revised with ‘new’ styling and a revised exhaust system. TY4337 & TY5017 are unsuitable for these new vehicles as the profiled side plate (D) fouls on the exhaust pipe.
We are offering a factored swan neck product for the time being (TY8090). The factored detachable system (TY9344) continues to be suitable.
Toyota Verso April 2009-
Toyota has recently launched a new Verso. TY4304 is not considered suitable and a new towbar will be developed in due course.
BMW Mini Convertible (R57) April 2009-
It can be confirmed that the new BMW Mini Convertible is not homologated for towing.
BMW Z4 Roadster (E89) April 2009-
It can be confirmed that the new BMW Z4 is not homologated for towing.
Audi A6 June 2004- (S-Line Models)
It is necessary to make an enlarged bumper cut when installing AD4279 (Flange Towbar) to models of the A6 with the S-Line bodykit. This information has been added to the latest revision of the fitting instruction sheet (AD4279-Rev.1). No additional cut is required when installing the detachable towbar (AD6005).
